Our first organic harvest!

​Chinese cabbage and lettuce were harvested and used for dinner and school lunches.

​Our veggie garden is thriving thanks to the organic fertiliser, compost and worm tea that we produce on site at Hayman Island State School. The students were excited to harvest the first Chinese cabbage and lettuce crops from their veggie garden.

They have been working very hard to care for our plants and make a sustainable difference in their everyday lives. The vegetables went home to the families and were used for dinner and school lunches. We can’t wait to harvest the carrots and capsicums next week!
